Dataset License

Continental People Dataset License v2.0

Version 2.0. Effective date: 29 June 2026.

1. Parties and acceptance

This license is between Continental People and the approved recipient that requests and receives access to the Continental People Household Actions Demo Dataset v1.0.

The person accepting this license represents that they are authorized to act for the company or organization named in the request form.

Electronic acceptance through the dataset request form, together with the recorded request ID, work email, document version, document URL, exact checkbox text, timestamp and hash, forms the acceptance record for this license.

Submitting a request or accepting this license does not by itself create a right to receive the dataset. Delivery remains subject to qualification, country eligibility review, participant rights verification, privacy and legal review, and final delivery approval.

2. Dataset covered

This license covers the continental-people-household-actions-demo-v1 package for the Continental People Household Actions Demo Dataset v1.0.

The dataset structure is 7 controlled actions, 28 paired capture events and 56 video files with chest-mounted egocentric and static third-person views.

The package may include video files, manifests, metadata CSV files, dataset card, QA report, folder structure and related documentation supplied by Continental People for the approved package version.

Public website previews are evaluation previews only. They are not a public dataset download and do not grant reuse rights for raw media.

3. License grant

After approval and controlled delivery, Continental People grants the approved recipient a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, non-transferable license to use the delivered raw dataset for the permitted purposes in this license.

The raw dataset use term is 10 years from the later of the electronic acceptance date or the controlled delivery date, unless a separate written agreement states a different term.

This license is granted only to the approved recipient and its permitted users. It does not transfer ownership of the raw dataset, source media, participant materials, website content or Continental People intellectual property.

4. Permitted uses

The approved recipient may use the delivered dataset for commercial AI/ML training, fine-tuning, validation, evaluation, testing and deployment.

Permitted uses also include internal model development, computer vision research and development, robotics or physical AI evaluation, annotation design, QA, procurement review and pilot scoping.

The recipient may create trained models, embeddings, metrics, annotations, reports and other derived outputs, provided those outputs comply with this license and do not reproduce, reveal, identify or reconstruct participants or source media.

5. Internal sharing and permitted users

The recipient may share the raw dataset only internally with employees, contractors or advisors who have a legitimate project need to access it.

Each permitted user must be bound by confidentiality and use restrictions at least as protective as this license.

The recipient remains responsible for all use, misuse, storage, copying, disclosure or deletion failures by its permitted users.

6. Raw dataset restrictions

The recipient must not sell, resell, redistribute, sublicense, publish, upload, mirror, lease, lend, transfer or otherwise make the raw dataset available to any third party.

The recipient must not include the raw dataset in a public benchmark, public repository, public model hub, torrent, shared public drive, stock-media product, public data catalog, open dataset release or public collaboration folder.

The recipient must not publish raw videos, raw frames, source clips, contact sheets or substantially equivalent reconstructions without prior written permission from Continental People.

The recipient must not use the raw dataset as a standalone media asset, stock footage product, training-data resale product or data brokerage product.

7. Prohibited identity and surveillance uses

The dataset must not be used for biometric identification, face recognition, participant identification, identity verification, surveillance, watchlist creation or tracking of a participant.

The recipient must not infer, classify, predict or profile sensitive traits from the participant, including race, ethnicity, health, disability, political views, religion, sexual orientation, union membership or similar sensitive attributes.

The recipient must not identify, re-identify, locate, profile, contact or attempt to contact any participant, and must not combine the dataset with other data to enable those outcomes.

8. Prohibited harmful uses

The dataset must not be used for deceptive impersonation, deceptive deepfake generation, sexual content, defamatory content, fraudulent activity, discriminatory use, harassment, exploitation or unlawful harm.

The dataset must not be used to build or improve systems designed to mislead people about whether media is real or whether a participant endorsed a statement, product or service.

The recipient must not use the dataset in any way that violates applicable law, participant restrictions, platform rules, court orders or written instructions from Continental People.

9. Trained models and derived outputs

The recipient owns its compliant trained models, model weights, evaluation results, annotations, internal reports and outputs created using the dataset, subject to this license and applicable law.

The recipient does not own the raw dataset, source media, participant likeness, dataset documentation, package manifests or Continental People materials.

Trained models and derived outputs may continue to be used only if they do not reproduce, reveal, identify or reconstruct a participant, source clip, raw frame sequence or substantially equivalent raw media.

If a trained model or derived output exposes participant-level information, recognizable source frames, raw clips or equivalent reconstructions, the recipient must stop using it for that purpose and cooperate with mitigation, deletion or quarantine.

10. Privacy and legal responsibility

The recipient is independently responsible for complying with privacy, data protection, AI, consumer protection, employment, export, sector-specific and other laws that apply to its use of the dataset.

The recipient must not treat delivery of the dataset as legal advice or as a representation that its intended use is lawful in every jurisdiction.

The recipient must maintain its own lawful basis, notices, risk assessment, security controls and internal approvals where required for its use of the dataset.

11. Security requirements

The recipient must store the raw dataset in a controlled internal environment with access limited to permitted users who have a legitimate project need.

The recipient must use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards to prevent unauthorized access, copying, disclosure, public upload, loss or misuse.

The recipient must not place the raw dataset in public storage, unmanaged personal accounts, unauthenticated links or shared locations that allow access by people who are not permitted users.

The recipient must notify Continental People promptly if it becomes aware of unauthorized access, disclosure, loss, public upload, misuse or a security incident involving the dataset.

12. Withdrawal, deletion and quarantine

Continental People may require deletion, quarantine, access restriction or revocation if a participant withdraws where applicable, if legal requirements change, if a package issue is discovered, if delivery was made in error or if the recipient breaches this license.

After receiving a deletion, quarantine or revocation notice, the recipient must follow the instructions in the notice and confirm completion within the requested timeframe where technically and legally feasible.

Where deletion from trained models is not technically feasible, the recipient must stop using affected raw data and cooperate in good faith on reasonable mitigation, quarantine, replacement or output-suppression steps.

13. Audit and cooperation

The recipient must keep reasonable records of dataset access, permitted users, storage location, package version, deletion or quarantine actions and any security incidents relevant to the dataset.

Continental People may request reasonable cooperation to verify compliance with this license, investigate misuse, process a withdrawal, confirm deletion or respond to a legal, participant or security request.

Audit cooperation should be proportionate and may include written confirmation, access logs, deletion confirmation, quarantine status or other reasonable evidence, while respecting the recipient's confidential information and security obligations.

14. No warranties

The dataset, website previews, documentation, metadata, manifests and related materials are provided as-is and as-available.

Continental People does not warrant that the dataset will meet every recipient requirement, be error-free, uninterrupted, suitable for a particular model, suitable for a regulated use case or available for future delivery.

The recipient is responsible for evaluating dataset suitability, quality, legal fit, bias, safety and technical limitations before use.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Continental People is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, business opportunity or model performance arising from the dataset or this license.

Continental People's aggregate liability for claims relating to this license or the delivered demo dataset is limited to the amount paid by the recipient for the specific demo dataset package, or 100 USD if no amount was paid, except where mandatory law does not allow that limitation.

16. Governing law and mandatory rules

This license is governed by the laws of the Russian Federation, subject to any mandatory rules that apply to the recipient or cannot be excluded by agreement.

Nothing in this license limits rights, obligations, remedies or restrictions that cannot be limited under mandatory applicable law.

17. Language priority

This English version is the controlling version for the website acceptance flow unless a later written agreement signed by the parties states otherwise.

If a translation is provided for convenience and conflicts with this English version, the English version controls to the extent permitted by applicable law.

18. Notices

Dataset access, review, delivery and license notices should be sent to data@continentalpeople.com.

Privacy, participant, deletion, withdrawal, quarantine or personal-data requests should be sent to privacy@continentalpeople.com.

Continental People may send transactional notices to the work email address submitted in the request form.

19. No public benchmark or raw media publication

The recipient must not publish the raw dataset, raw media, raw frames, participant-level excerpts or a public benchmark containing the raw dataset without prior written permission from Continental People.

Any public reference to evaluation results should avoid exposing raw media, participant identity, participant-level information or source-frame reconstruction.
